Rule 8A
Arrangements for Vice President
(1) There will be one vice president of the fund.
(2) The Government of Nepal, Council of Ministers shall appoint one of the persons recommended by the recommendation committee as per sub-rule (5) as the vice-chairman.
(3) The Vice-President shall be a full-time officer of the fund.
(4) Qualifications of the Vice-President shall be as follows:-
(a) Being a Nepali citizen,
(b) At least a master's degree in economics, management and commerce from a recognized educational institution (c) Not being a member of any political party,
(d) Completed forty-five years of age.
(5) There will be a recommendation committee as follows to recommend the appointment of the Vice President to the Government of Nepal:-
(a) Vice-Chairman – Coordinator of the National Planning Commission (b) Member of National Planning Commission – Member

(c) Secretary, Ministry of Finance – Member (6) The recommendation committee as per sub-rule (5) shall recommend the names of three persons for the vice president from among the persons who have met the qualifications as per sub-rule (4).
(7) The term of office of the Vice-President shall be four years and he may be re-appointed.
(8) If the special action of the Vice President is not satisfactory, the Government of Nepal can remove him at any time.
(9) Before being removed according to sub-rule (8), the vice-president should be given an opportunity to submit proof of his cleanliness.
(10) The salary, allowance and other benefits of the Vice President will be as prescribed by the Government of Nepal (11) The duties, duties and powers of the Vice-President shall be as follows:-
(a) To execute the decision of the committee, to make,
(b) To approve the agenda to be submitted in the meeting of the committee,
(c) To make the best use of the amount deposited in the fund,
(d) To coordinate with banks, financial institutions and cooperatives and other stakeholders.
(12) Notwithstanding anything written elsewhere in this rule, the appointment of the Vice-Chairman by the Council of Ministers on the recommendation of the recommendation committee as per sub-rule (5) shall not apply to persons who have shown extraordinary talent in civil life. can do
